This has been a great week! On Monday we performed in the gazebo on the Woodstock Square, solo pan at the Baker House in Lake Geneva on Tuesday, had a great fundraising concert in Rochelle on Wednesday, and today taking a duet up to Green Bay! This has been a lot of fun and we are really glad to see more and more people starting to appreciate the steelpan. After every performance, we always have at least one person come up and say that they didn’t realize the steelpan could play music like that. We are really proud to know that we are helping expand people’s perceptions of this great instrument.
After this, we will be performing in Hyde Park for their 4th of July parade and then a concert in Nichols Park. Then we are off to Canada!!! Things are really starting to fall into place with the Canada trip. We just secured a room to stay in Toronto on Wednesday night, and got our housing for the other nights worked out too! We even found a drummer to sit in with us while we are up there!! A big thanks goes out to Salah Wilson and Zaynab Wilson for everything you have done to assist us with this trip!!!!!!
